Basic Courses For Members:

BASIC FIELD PRODUCTION (BC100)

Description: Introduces single-camera video production. Members learn the equipment and techniques used in single-camera field production. Staff certify member’s in basic field production upon the completion of this course. *This completion in the course is required by members in order to gain access to TV3’s field production equipment.

BASIC VIDEO EDITING (BC102)

Description: TV3 staff introduces to members the basic techniques in non-linear video editing using powerful Avid Xpress Pro HD. *This completion in the course is required by members in order to gain access to TV3’s editing production equipment.

STUDIO PRODUCTION I (BC200)

Introduces studio television practice. Members learn the principles of pre-production, production, and post-production for the studio as well as control room procedures.

STUDIO PRODUCTION II (BC201)

Further study and practice in studio production. Members assistant in the production of a mock live shoot. *This completion in the course is required by members in order to gain access to TV3’s studio production equipment.

Advanced Courses for Members:

ADVANCED VIDEO EDITING (ADV103)

Furthers understanding of and ability to work with medium- to long-format post-production processes.

HOTSET PRODUCTION I (ADV300)

Staff introduces members to the newly designed H.O.T Set. Course will cover the basics in production including: tutorial on Newtek’s Tricaster Interface, calibrating and controlling robotic camera, chromakeying, and wireless audio. *This completion in the course is required by members in order to gain access to TV3’s studio production equipment.

HOTSET PRODUCTION II (ADV301)

Course will cover the advanced techniques in production including: live production, telephone communications, and live-by-wire producing.
